The night before we left to come home we had to make the drive up to the Maroon Bells, a mountain range that reaches over 14,000' in elevation. They were amazing and dad was in heaven. We can't wait to get back to this area and explore some more.
Aspen Saturday Market started off with the kids getting hand twisted balloons and popcorn. After walking around the street fair for awhile, we found a tent that had vintage bikes that had been re-built. They were amazing and its a good thing we didn't have any money because Lisa would brought home a couple of them!
We stayed at a super nice home in Aspen and the kids had a blast. Their favorite thing was getting in the hot tub every evening. We got to go on mountain bike rides, hikes, concerts, gondola rides, and put together many, many puzzles and thanks to Grandma Gloria, many art projects. We had a great time in Aspen!
We took a drive over Independence Pass outside of Aspen and reached almost 13,000' in elevation. We stopped off at the Independence Ghost Town and then had a picnic on the way home. The top of the Rockies are amazing!
